In the next two days Alienware will begin shipping systems equipped with the nVidia 7950 GX2 or as we like to put it, the Hummer of all graphics cards. To refresh your memory the nVidia 7950 GX2 features 1GB of on board memory, 48 pixel pipelines, as well as 16 vertex shaders. The GX2 is powered by 2 7900 series GPU’s. The Area-51 7500 and the Aurora 7500 which is pictured above will come equipped with this powerful monster standard, that’s right… standard. The base price for the Area-51 7500 is $1,679 and the Aurora 7500 is priced at $2,309. Via Gizmodo

Nintendo announced on Wednesday that the Wii and DS will have connectivity capabilities. This will turn the DS into a controller for the Wii as well and allow you to view your DS games on your TV. In the past Nintendo has embraced connectivity between portables and their consoles so this doesn’t come as much surprise. What does come as a surprise however is that this opens the door for a patent that has been approved recently that includes an instant messaging system with a fully customizable user profile, contact list, in-game messaging, and proprietary e-mail functionality for the DS and Wii. Nintendo always seems to have another trick up their sleeves. Via Ubergizmo
